Paul Seling ( aka Youthopian ) is a a musician with a solid classical music backround and a strong affinity for electronic music production . He started making music in the late `90s, mostly geared towards the underground, as he defines himself as an experimentalist who makes no compromise when it comes to putting his artistic vision into musical form.

Youthopian`s debut album, "Arcade Girl" is a nostalgic take on some of the genres that were really successful back in the `80s. From old-school funk to glam-rock, from smooth-jazz to new wave, the album`s author decided to reinterpret and re-express them in a modern, personal manner.

Even if this mix might seem a bit eclectic at a first read, Paul managed to unify all these influences under one concept, as the album is dedicated to this special girl from his past. A couple of years of relationship with someone who shared the same love for the `80s culture and aesthetics were distiled into the sonic excursion of "Arcade Girl".

The 10 track album encripts all the feelings and sensations of the first date, at the town`s Arcade. From the anticipation of " Blue Lagoon", the the fun and hi-energy of " The Runner" or " Hard Rock Blondie", ending with the mellow nostalgia of " Late City Nights" or " City Of Angels".
In the end the whole story was expressed in this particular musical form, as the author wanted to capture the fragility of such beautiful feelings , experiences and memories. And maybe, in this way, saving them for eternity.
